Jan Ros

Studied from1981-1987 at Art academy in Utrecht and from1987-1991 at Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam The sweeping of the paint allows Jan Ros to define the subject of the work less literally. It functions as a way to un-focus. As a result the image becomes much more romantic, often in contrast with the subject. He is introducing a subjective element, by which the way of looking, perception, becomes a lot more personal and individualistic. The form is simply just less defined. Interested in the works of Jan Ros? Mail: info@contempogalerie.nl
